SkinFit USA Podium Weekend: TriJuniors and James Walsh

A huge weekend for SkinFit USA!

Congratulations to coach Jim Vance and his TriJuniors team athletes Tristan Bunch and Jordan Houri, who finish 3rd and 5th at the Flatland Elite Cup, Youth Elite Males.

According to a tweet from Coach Vance, this marks the the best team performance in the history of the program with Tristan their first-ever podium finisher.

Skinfit athletes James Walsh and Adam Zucco DOMINATE California 70.3!

James Walsh snagged a slot to both Kona and 70.3 Worlds on Saturday at CA 70.3! He won his age group in 4:20:28 and was 35th overall with over 80 pros on the start line. There were also 400 athletes in his age group! Very impressive!

Adam Zucco was the first overall amateur in 4:12! He earned a slot to Kona and 70.3 Worlds.His bike split of 2:18 was just shy of some of the fastest pro bike splits on the day. A dominating performance for sure!

Skinfit partners with Uplace Pro Triathlon Team

The newly-formed Uplace Pro Triathlon Team are without a doubt a who-is-who of the Belgian Triathlon scene. The team is compiled of promising Belgian talents and experienced athleted with a focus on long distance events.
Sofie Goos and Bruno Claerbout were already part of the team in 2010 and for 2011 five world-class athletes complete the pro team: Rutger Beke, Tine Deckers, Bert Jammaer, Axel Zeebroek, and Bart Aernouts all have had some impressive results in the past and are ready to attack the new season.
We are convinced that our Skinfit products can do their part to support the efforts of the team and we are excited to form yet another high-caliber partnership for the 2011 season and beyond. You can find the official video where the team is presented here: < ... CLICK >

With their customized green kits, this team will definitely leave its mark in the triathlon scene. Tine Deckers already showed some good form at Ironman 70.3 in South Africa where she finished second behind Jodie Swallow in 4:45:25 h

News from the Big Island – skinfit® athletes are representing at the MANGO MINI MONSTER TRIATHLON in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Our athletes Yvonne van Vlerken and Thomas J. Vonach have set up their winter training residence in Hawaii this year. In addition, Mario Erath – another athlete – has now joined their training group. As a first form test, they competed in the MANGO MINI MONSTER TRIATHLON last weekend.

On February 13th they tried to solve the mystery of who is the fastest skinfit athlete at the moment by participating in the MANGO MINI MONSTER TRIATHLON. A few things seems certain: Thomas can out-swim Yvonne by 16 seconds over a 1,6km swim; Mario is about one minute behind Yvonne in the water; Thomas beat Yvonne by 32 seconds on the bike while Mario lost 2:25 minutes to his coach; Yvonne showed the two guys who is boss during the half marathon and outran Thomas by 33 seconds and Mario by 2:25 minutes. Easy right?

All in all it means that Thomas might be in the shape of his life or how else do you explain the 33 second lead at the end of the day? ;) Thomas finished in 4:14:59 h with Yvonne a tiny 33 seconds behind and Mario 6:51 minutes back.

Congratulations to all three and may the internal fighting about who is in better shape at the moment continue.

Lesley Paterson gets 6th at 70.3 Worlds!!!!

Lesley was sick heading into this race, just finishing a round of antibiotics, but she still put together a solid race and placed 6th in the world! This was her first time racing this event so you will no doubt see her improve and compete for the world title in the coming years.
Congratulations Lesley! All of your hardwork is paying off. Keep it up and we will see you in 2011.

Skinfit Trisuit wins Kona Gear Count 2010

Every year, volunteers are busy counting bikes, shoes, apparel, wheels, etc to be able to publish the prestigious Kona Gear Count. This year, Skinfit won the one-piece suit category and placed among the top three brands in Tops and Bottoms as well. An astonishing feat considering that most competitors are from North America where Skinfit does not yet have as strong of a presence as it does in the European markets. Skinfit is by far the most popular European brand and can compete head to head with the big names in the sport.


Skinfit has been manufacturing high-end Triathlon suits for 15 years and takes pride in its newest invention the Skinfit Tri Suit Plasma. The suit is incredibly fast in the water and offers an unusual high level of comfort during the other legs of the race as well. Our all-white tri gear was also very popular among athletes in Kona.
